Synopsis

Now restored and re-mastered for the first time in the UK, director Po-Chih Leong's acclaimed movie tells the story of three friends attempting to escape Hong Kong in the aftermath of the Japanese invasion.

Screen legend Chow Yun-fat carried off the Best Actor award at the 1984 Golden Horse Awards for his stunning central performance, and cameraman Brian Lai won the award for Best Cinematography. A dramatic masterpiece!
